Abstract:For study the dynamical characteristics of transformer composed of none-resonance structure in ultrasonic gear-horning. The frequency equations and displacement amplitude equations of the transformer, which is consists of cone horn and medium thick annular plate are derived based on Mindlin’s theory and force coupling condition for horn and medium thick annular plate. Then, the design parameters and displacement amplitude of the transformer are got by solving the frequency equations and displacement amplitude equations computationally with the help of MATLAB, and demonstrated by finite element method, the resonant frequencies and displacement amplitude are consistent with each other. Based on the above answer, the transformer is made and tested dynamically; the experimental results have proved that theoretical solutions are correct.
